Your files always belong to you
Every photo, 360° capture, video, drawing, CAD file, and document you upload remains your property. WhatOnSite never claims ownership of your content — we're the platform that stores and organises it, not the owner of it.
Export everything, any time
Your building records aren't locked in. You can export your data whenever you want — there's no waiting period, no approval process, and no fee for taking your own information with you.
Migrate to another cloud
If you ever want to move your building data to a different system or provider, it's yours to move. We design WhatOnSite so you're never dependent on us to keep access to your own records.
Bring your own cloud storage
Prefer to keep your files in your own storage account? WhatOnSite supports connecting your own cloud storage, so your building content can live in infrastructure you control directly.
Enterprise: fully private infrastructure
Enterprise customers can keep all building data inside their own private infrastructure — giving your security and compliance teams complete control over where information physically lives.
No vendor lock-in
We compete on being the best way to manage your buildings — not on making it hard to leave. There's no proprietary format trapping your data, and no penalty for taking it elsewhere.
You control who has access
You decide who can see and edit each building — owners, managers, maintenance teams, contractors, or viewers. Access follows the roles and permissions you set, not anyone else's default.
Revoke access whenever you choose
Remove a team member's or contractor's access at any moment, and it takes effect immediately. Nothing lingers after you've decided someone shouldn't see your building's information any more.
1. Connect
Provide the details for your own storage — your own Supabase project, or an S3-compatible bucket such as AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, or MinIO. We check the connection works before saving anything.
2. Organise
From then on, anything you upload is saved directly to your own storage, while Build Manager AI keeps everything organised, searchable and easy to find.
3. Disconnect any time
Remove the connection whenever you like. Build Manager AI switches back to its own managed storage for new uploads — files already in your own storage stay there, in your account.
This is entirely optional — by default, your files are stored securely in Build Manager AI's own managed cloud storage.
